Der zylindrische Körper dieser Figurine einer Lyra-Spielerin wurde mit den Händen geformt, was man beispielsweise gut an den Ohren oder der spitz geformten Nase sieht. Große schwarze Kreise mit Punkten in der Mitte zeigen ihre Augen an. Unter einer turbanähnlichen Kopfbedeckung fallen lange Haare auf die Schultern. Rote und schwarze Bemalung auf der Bekleidung vervollständigen die exquisite Ausstattung der Musikerin. Die U-förmige Lyra hält sie in der linken Hand, während sie mit der rechten Hand die Saiten spielt.
Musizierende Figurinen aus gebranntem Ton können seit der Bronzezeit auf Zypern belegt werden. Dabei ist es oft schwierig zu entscheiden, ob es sich um männliche oder weibliche Darstellungen handelt. Da in dem Heiligtum auf der Ostakropolis überwiegend weibliche Figuren gefunden wurden, gehen wir auch hier von einer weiblichen Musikerin aus.
English version:
The cylindrical body of this figurine of a lyre player was shaped by hand. This is clearly evident, for example, in the ears or the pointed nose. Large black circles with dots in the centre represent her eyes. Long hair falls onto her shoulders from beneath a turban-like headdress. Red and black paint on her clothing complete the musician’s exquisite ensemble. She holds a U-shaped lyre in her left hand, whilst playing the strings with her right hand.
Figurines of musicians made from fired clay have been found in Cyprus since the Bronze Age. It is often difficult to determine whether these are depictions of men or women. As predominantly female figurines were found in the sanctuary on the East Acropolis, we assume this is also a female musician.

Το κυλινδρικό σώμα αυτού του ειδωλίου, που απεικονίζει λυράρισσα πλάστηκε με τα χέρια. Επιμέρους στοιχεία, όπως τα αυτιά και η απολήγουσα σε αιχμή μύτη, έχουν προστεθεί πλαστικά. Μεγάλοι μαύροι κύκλοι με κουκκίδες στο κέντρο αποδίδουν τους οφθαλμούς της. Κάτω από κάλυμμα κεφαλής που μοιάζει με τουρμπάνι, αποδίδεται μακρά κόμη που καταλήγει στους ώμους Η ενδυμασία φέρει ζωγραφική διακόσμηση σε ερυθρό και μέλαν χρώμα. Η μορφή κρατεί λύρα σχήματος U με το αριστερό χέρι, ενώ το δεξί αποδίδεται σε στάση παιξίματος των χορδών.
Πήλινα ειδώλια μουσικών μαρτυρούνται στην Κύπρο ήδη από την Εποχή του Χαλκού, αν και η απόδοση του φύλου τους δεν είναι πάντοτε σαφής. Δεδομένου ότι στο ιερό της Ανατολικής Ακρόπολης βρέθηκαν κυρίως γυναικείες μορφές, υποθέτουμε ότι και εδώ πρόκειται για μια γυναίκα μουσικό.
