Die Füße einer lebensgroßen Figur stehen auf einer flachen Tonplatte (Plinthe). Die Füße tragen detailliert angegebenes Schuhwerk, das an moderne Sandalen erinnert.
Die Seitenteile dieser Sandalen umschließen die Fersen und die Seiten der Knöchel. Sie treffen sich auf dem Fußrücken, wo sie mit einer Art Schnalle verbunden sind. Verzierte Riemen mit Zickzack-Muster laufen über den Vorderfuß. Ein weiterer Riemen läuft zwischen den ersten beiden Zehen hindurch und verbindet die Teile miteinander. Die jeweils mittleren drei Zehen sind mit mehrfach gewundenen Spiralringen dekoriert. Diese Zehenringe gehen auf reale Vorbilder aus Silberdraht zurück.
Die Füße gehören zu einer Gruppe von sechs Fußpaaren aus Terrakotta, die im Bereich des offenen Hofes des Heiligtums auf dem Felsen aufgestellt waren. Sie standen dicht beieinander und waren alle nach Osten, in Richtung der aufgehenden Sonne, ausgerichtet.
English version:
The feet of a life-size figure stand on a flat slab of fired clay (plinth). The feet wear detailed footwear reminiscent of modern sandals.
The sides of these sandals enclose the heels and sides of the ankles. They meet on the back of the foot, where they are connected with a type of buckle. Decorated straps with a zigzag pattern run across the front of the foot. Another strap runs between the first and second toe and connects the aforementioned parts of the sandal. The three middle toes are decorated with multiple coiled spiral rings. These toe rings are based on real models made of silver wire.
The pair of feet belongs to a group of six pairs of terracotta feet that were placed in the open courtyard of the sanctuary, directly on the bedrock. They stood close together and were all facing east, towards the rising sun.
Ελληνική απόδοση:
Τα πόδια μιας μορφής φυσικού μεγέθους αποδιδόμενων πάνω σε επίπεδη πλάκα πηλό (βάθρο). Τα πόδια φέρουν λεπτομερώς αποδομένα υποδήματα που θυμίζουν σύγχρονα σανδάλια.
Τα πλευρικά τμήματα των σανδαλιών καλύπτουν τις φτέρνες και τους αστραγάλους. Ενώνονται στο πίσω μέρος του ποδιού, όπου συνδέονται με ένα είδος αγκράφας. Διακοσμημένοι ιμάντες με ζιγκ-ζαγκ μοτίβο διατρέχουν το μπροστινό μέρος του ποδιού. Ένας άλλος ιμάντας διέρχεται μεταξύ πρώτου και το δεύτερου δαχτύλου συνδέοντας τα επιμέρους τμήματα του υποδήματος. Τα τρία μεσαία δάχτυλα είναι διακοσμημένα με πολλαπλούς σπειροειδείς δακτυλίους. Αυτοί οι δακτύλιοι αποδίδουν πρότυπα από πραγματικά αντικείμενα κατασκευασμένα από ασημένιο σύρμα.
Το ζευγάρι των ποδιών ανήκει σε μια ομάδα έξι ζευγαριών ποδιών από πηλό που ήταν τοποθετημένα στην ανοιχτή αυλή του ιερού, απευθείας επί του φυσικού βράχου. Τα αντικείμενα ήταν διατεταγμένα σε εγγύτητα μεταξύ τους και ήταν όλα στραμμένα προς την ανατολή, προς τον ανατέλλοντα ήλιο.
